M.B.A., Director, Scale Up T&T
Waltnel Sosa is Entrepreneurship Policy Advisors’ senior program director in charge of Scale Up T&T. Waltnel is based in Trinidad and Tobago, with nearly 20 years of local, regional and international expertise in Finance and Strategy. He has a combination of experience globally in Corporate Finance and Developmental Finance having worked in Investment Banking in New York, as well as for a multilateral in Washington DC and Trinidad and Tobago.
While in the USA, he was a key team member for several large acquisitions in the Caribbean Region. Waltnel also led the Mergers and Acquisitions and Strategy Group for a regional Bank based in Trinidad and Tobago. Waltnel is passionate about development in Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean Region as a whole and has a keen interest in initiatives that can attract talent to Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean region.
Waltnel has been instrumental in driving the discussions regarding a potential Scale UP T&T project and acts as a liaison between the faculty and the local stakeholders inclusive of the cohort members. Waltnel has an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Math and Computer Science from Hamilton College.
